Interview with Mr Tatsuro Arata, founder of the company
Mr Arata, please tell us a bit about yourself, the early days of you starting motorcycle racing. (at what age did you enter your 1st race)
I wanted to be a racing rider when I was in high school. And my dream was to ride the GP500cc
You spent a year in USA, was that a successful year in AMA?
The season I entered AMA was the best year of my long racing career. For the first time in the United States, I was able to win a lot of victory without knowing anything.
It's been an incredibly lucky year, and I still thank the team that helped me and the people around me who helped me in the United States.
I can see you have an intense passion for motorcycles and racing, did that lead to the founding of Arata Racing products?
Nothing different from the passion for the race and the passion for the product
How did your racing history and experience influence your products and its design?
It must always be the best when it comes to performance. After that, it is important to make the product enjoyable to see and ride on a motorcycle.
It is always amazing to see the technological progress of the Japanese motorcycles and parts compared to European counterparts, why is that?
Japanese manufacturers can do fine work, so the finish is excellent
You are still very active in motorcycle events, do you still take part in races?
I am also a representative director and I am thinking about products, but I still feel like a racing rider.
Apart from motorcycles what is your other favourite pass time?
Fishing and the outdoors. When taking a hot spring. And it ’s time to eat sweets.
